Aid Governance – Foundation & Organisation

Aid Governance was founded in Switzerland and is an independent not-for-profit organisation. It emerged as a spin-off of a longitudinal scientific study at the University of St. Gallen building on the many years of practical experiences of its founders. Since 2008, Aid Governance is registered in Switzerland as a from tax exempted association.

The growing team consists of people from seven different nationalities, all together speaking over ten languages (at the end of 2008, 12 people were engaged in the activities of Aid Governance). Aid Governance combines the expertise of specialists, managers and researcher from the fields of development co-operations, academia and the private sector.

Aid Governance is supported by the AVINA association and generous contributions by individual donors. Moreover, Aid Governance can count on the valuable support of its numerous «Friends of Aid Governance».
